last night, i was biking home from work and a car of three, white, 20-something men wearing baseball hats shot me with airsoft and paintball guns from a honda sedan. they first pulled up behind me two blocks from my apartment and shot at me while i was biking across an intersection. i biked up onto the sidewalk for a block then stopped and turned all my lights off and speed-walked one more block with my bike. at the corner before my apartment, they found me again - turning the corner in front of my apartment, two men hung out of the passenger side windows (front and back) and shot at me. i lifted my bike up in front of my body and turned away from them. i screamed, “FUCK” at the top of my lungs and they laughed at me and sped away. i ran into my apartment, cried my eyes out and screamed at my roommates and boyfriend, and then called the cops - all within 5 minutes of the second encounter.
thanks, america, for giving me one more fucking reason to be pissed of at men. thanks for not allowing me to feel safe in my really awesome neighborhood.
